We come from bulk freight
Bulk Insurance Group is the insurance arm of the BulkLoads family: built in Springfield, Missouri by the people who run the load boards this industry works from.
The story
The load board came first.
Our parent company runs BulkLoads.com, the load board where much of the country's bulk freight gets booked, along with FlatLoads, Livestock Loads, Bulk TMS, and Bulk Factoring. Living inside that world every day, we kept watching the same thing happen: haulers we knew well getting quoted by agents who didn't know a hopper bottom from a dry van.
Bulk Insurance Group exists to fix that. We're an independent insurance agency, co-founded by BulkLoads founder Jared Flinn and led by CEO Larry Hurt, that quotes bulk, flatbed, and livestock operations the way an insider would: knowing the trailers, the lanes, the seasons, and the customers before the first phone call.
Independent matters. We work for you, not a carrier, and we shop every account across 50+ transportation insurance markets to find the underwriter that actually wants your class of business. Then we stick around: old-fashioned service, a named team, and a phone that gets answered.
